Discover Hillel Card

What is the Discover Hillel Card?

The Helene G. Simon Hillel Center at Indiana University would like to introduce the Discover Hillel (DH Card) Card, a great way to help support Jewish student life on campus at IU, while entitling card holders to many great discounts at Indiana University Hillel’s many programs and around the Bloomington community.

Every Jewish student at Indiana University is a member of Hillel; however, the DH Card enhances that membership by offering benefits and discounts at many different levels.

The DH Card allows students to use our Cybex weight facility located in the basement of Hillel.  The card also provides discounts on all Hillel events; Kosher Cafe, Passover Seders, lunches and dinners and FREE High Holiday Meals.

Furthermore, the card can be used as a charge card allowing students to partake in Hillel events and charge most meals and events to the card.  Parents will be sent an itemized bill at the end of each semester.

The Cost of the DH Card is a $75 one time fee for the entire school year.

Why should you get the Discover Hillel Card?

  • Free High Holy Day Meals
DH card holders will receive free High Holy Day meals for both Rosh Hashanah and Yom Kippur.  Each meal costs $10, but is FREE for DH Card holders.
  • Discounts to Hillel Events
With a DH card, students will pay a reduced price for those events requiring a registration fee.
  • Discounts on Hillel Food
On Monday, Tuesday, & Wednesday nights, enjoy a home cooked meal at Hillel for a discounted price!  DH Card holders will also receive a discounted price for Passover Seders, & Kosher for Passover lunches and dinners the whole week!
  • Discounts in Bloomington
DH Card holders can present their card at local Bloomington vendors and receive discounts. Card must be presented at time of purchase.  Please see card for official deals.
  • Charge Privileges for Hillel
You don’t have money to pay for a Hillel event/program?  No problem!  DH Card holders can charge events and parents will be billed at the end of each semester.
